Carl Bildt to Brussels for EU Council meeting
On Monday 22 March, Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt will take part in the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Among the topics the foreign ministers will discuss are Haiti, Chile and Afghanistan, and they will follow up the discussions at the informal meeting of foreign ministers, or Gymnich, held in Cordoba on 5-6 March. The Middle East will be considered at lunch in the presence of EU special envoy Tony Blair.
A press conference with Mr Bildt will be held following the meeting.
Time: Monday 22 March at approximately 16.30, following the end of the meeting
Place: Swedish briefing room in the Council's Justus Lipsius Building
